The Synthesised Model of Reflection (SMoR) is a new approach to assessing reflective writing. This is the first of four workshops which outline and guide students through the stages of the model and provides activities to support students' learning.
This first workshop provides an introduction to the SMoR and focuses on how learning from research methods can be applied to reflective practice to make it robust and systematic. The second part of the workshop gets students to start their self-evaluation to start their reflective process.
These workshops were used as a pilot of the model on the MSc Occupational Psychology course at Nottingham Trent University. This pilot was part of a Scholarship sabbatical project funded by NTU Psychology.
