This workshop provides practical suggestions on how to make tutor feedback more understandable for students. The techniques are based on feedback for coursework-based modules in Higher Education, but the same techniques could be applied to any educational environment with some adaption. This workshop attempts to train tutors in giving feedback, explaining why feedback is often poorly understood, whilst also providing activities to train tutors in improving their feedback. There is a focus on attendee-led discussion, because feedback practice is so different between institutions, enforcing a top-down feedback culture is unadvised.
