This presentation looks at the set up and running of a faculty learning community in a Scottish University, based on the Miami model, by Milton Cox. The FLC gave participants increased confidence and supported scholarly activities. <div><br></div><div>This was presented at the 6th International Academic Identities conference, The Peaceful University: aspirations for academic futures, compassion, generosity, imagination and creation, Research Institute for Higher Education, Hiroshima University.</div>
