If we were to design a coherent programme assessment strategy based on all the current research evidence available on assessment feedback, what would it look like? What would be the important underpinning principles? And what would practical implementation involve? This presentation aims to answer these questions, offering both principles and practical suggestions for course/programme teams.

We start from a summary thematic analysis of the literature on assessment feedback, undertaken in order to identify the key factors affecting feedback engagement. Synthesis of the issues identified in this thematic analysis identified eight overarching factors affecting feedback engagement.
