This poster outlines an employability framework that can be adapted according to local needs and contexts. Created for use within the Faculty of Education, it provides an outline of responsibilities and roles for key players within a department, faculty and university and how these different entities interact with each other. This is now being used by different faculties at the university and is evidence of its adaptability. Key strengths are that it provides clarity, accountability and sustainability for the integration of employability within programmes, departments and the faculty. Individuals are clear about their roles, their responsibilities - and the limits of their responsibilities. Where individuals change roles, or there is staff absence, then there is continuity of delivery as there is clear oversight as well as details of expectations.

A particular strength within the faculty framework is the employability steering group where good practice is shared and challenges addressed collegially. The membership includes departmental employability experts/ leads, programme leaders, those with departmental and faculty oversight, careers consultants and placement managers. Decisions and action plans then feed into the governance structure through the Employability Sub-Committee.
