Using the Synthesised Model of Reflection (SMoR) for my SFHEA application
I recently applied my Synthesised Model of Reflection in my successful SFHEA application. This diagram of the adapted version of the SMoR provides some bitesize guidance on how I approached planning my case studies and reflected upon these. I used each case study to demonstrate the breadth of activities of my leadership in Teaching and Learning. I then demonstrated my depth of knowledge, understanding and practice by synthesising the key messages and showcasing how all As, Ks and Vs were evidenced across the case studies. Finally, I drew conclusions, which informed new aims for my practice to help plan for my next steps moving forward.
I piloted and evaluated the Synthesised Model of Reflection as an NTU Psychology funded Scholarship Sabbatical. This was in the form of 50% 'buy-out' of workload for the 2022-23 academic year. This evaluation was Case Study 1 of my application. I wrote my SFHEA application as an output from this project.
