BPP Generative AI Skills Competency Framework for Professionals

<p dir="ltr">The BPP GAS-CAP Framework builds upon established models of professional competence and reflective practitioner approaches (The Alan Turing Institute et al., 2024; Cukurova & Miao, 2024; Miao & Shiohira, 2024). This competency framework identifies the knowledge, skills and personal qualities required to navigate practical challenges and exhibit competency within life and their profession.</p><p dir="ltr">The framework seeks to cultivate and empower professionals who are flexible, agile and possess the “depth of knowledge in a particular expertise as well as have the ability to work and communicate across disciplines”. It consists of five dimensions: Privacy and stewardship, AI foundations and applications, AI problem definition and communication, AI for professional learning, and Evaluation and reflection on AI. Each dimension has 3 progression opportunities through the framework; Acquire, Deepen and Create, which foster a growing and more encompassing understanding and application of AI with each progressive level.</p>
