This is a recorded presentation given to the Assessment Matters series at the University of Glasgow in June 2022.

The intervention that is described in the video and attached power point is interpreted in terms of new (and developing) research by (Nicol, 2021: Nicol and McCallum, 2021) which argues that if students are to learn to regulate their own learning and performance independently of their teachers, we must build their capacity to generate their own feedback, which has great potential to also enhance student student agency.
