In the context of the marketisation of higher

education, helping students to navigate their

identities as learners and consumers will ensure

that they get real value from their university

experience. 

This toolkit provides an essential

resource to enable groups of students to reflect critically

on the extent to which they are learners and

consumers of their higher education. 

It includes activities that support students to develop

a shared social identity as students of their

discipline, which research suggests will enhance

their sense of belonging and help them to achieve

their full potential.
