An agnostic/generic lesson plan for a workshop to help learners transition to new/higher levels of education. Designed to be fully adaptable for your context.

This is best run as an induction session but can be run at any point in the student journey with appropriate adaptations.

The original pilot was a 2-hour session for groups of 20 students. The two cohorts (130 students) who attended this workshop had 40% fewer fails, a significant rise in distinctions and approximately 50% fewer deferrals compared to two earlier cohorts who did not have the benefit of the workshop. The pilot has been successfully adapted to a 1-hour session for 483 students.

There are two documents: a lesson plan for those teaching the workshop, and slides for use in the workshop.
