Engaging and empowering early-career academics through Curriculum Design

<p>This short chapter describes the pedagogical principles used to redesign the curriculum of the Academic Professional Apprenticeship/ Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education at Nottingham Trent University.</p> <p><br></p> <p>The curriculum design principles explored in the chapter are particularly useful to course and module leaders delivering long, thin modules. </p> <p><br></p> <p>The chapter was accepted for publication in the forthcoming <a href="https://openpress.sussex.ac.uk/ideasforactivelearning/" target="_blank">Ideas for Active Learning</a> book (Eds. Dr Paolo  Oprandi and Tab Betts) and includes clear steps on how to implement our principles of curriculum design.  </p>
