Designing ethical pedagogic research: World's Most Rigorous Ethics Board activity

Two-page handout (pdf) giving an overview of five different research studies in the field of Education. <div><br></div><div>This handout is used as the basis of an activity. Groups of participants are invited to valuate one or more of the studies as though they are members of a research ethics board. They are asked to consider what ethical issues might arise from the research design; whether there could be any risk to participant wellbeing; and how they would constructively advise or guide the researchers in creating a robust study that places participants' wellbeing at the forefront of the research.</div>
