This presentation outlines using an escape room as part of a Paramedic science degree. However, the author believes that this engaging pedagogy can be adapted to many courses in higher education. An escape room doesn't have to be complicated to organise. Student satisfaction from this event was high. When carrying out a literature review, there is a concenus amongst the research, that it is engaging, creates a deeper understanding and can ultimately improve grades. This presentation is based on an event run in 2022. In March 2023 I will be running a second event involving more rooms and challenges. I will be carrying out research to quantify student satisfaction and the benefits of using this pedagogy.
