Breaking Barriers: Can We Make a Difference?
This poster explores the role of mentoring and tutoring in fostering a sense of belonging in students. It is part of a personal reflection and a willingness to develop the tutoring system within a graphic design course at Confetti, Institute of Creative Technologies, which is part of Nottingham Trent University and based in Nottingham.
The course team identified over the summer development period of 2022 that we needed to improve the sense of belonging among our students, which is key to their success and achievement.
Therefore, this poster summarises the reflection and directions taken to answer the question: as a tutor and mentor, can we make a difference in braking barriers?
