In the Faculty of Education at Edge Hill University I deliver a Learning and Teaching induction for academic staff, many of whom are moving from teaching in nurseries, schools or FE. The aim is to enable new colleagues begin to form their professional identity in HE as well as develop a sense of belonging to the Faculty and University. Key to this is delivering a personalised approach that values colleagues previous experiences as well as enabling them to understand the context and expectations of working in HE Initial Teacher Education.
