performance

'Luze' was co-choreographed by Senior Lecturers James Hewison and Michelle Man and created in collaboration with the female Basque composer Zuriñe F. Gerenabarrena. Programmed as part of the commission that Ensemble Sinkro received from Fundación Juan March, Madrid, this ground-breaking event saw the introduction of the programming of dance to the prestigious Fundación Juan March, an international concert and gallery space founded in 1955. For this work the collaborating artists explored notions and the embodiment through sound and the choreographic of duration, or as luze translates literally from Euskera ‘long’. This is the recording of the live performance on 4th March 2017 at the Fundación Juan March.
